Water treatment plant VPU-1.0K

The VPU-1K water treatment system is designed for small boiler plants. Makeup water, even from wells, must undergo several stages of purification before entering the boiler. Properly treated water improves safety and extends the service life of boiler equipment.

The VPU-1K water treatment system consists of three vertical cylindrical tanks. Unlike other VPUs, the VPU-1K has a clarification tank for removing fine particles (the first stage of water treatment) and, like all VPUs, a cation exchange tank for softening the water entering the boiler (the second stage of water treatment). The cation exchanger acts as a softener. Its chemical composition absorbs calcium and magnesium ions, preventing scale and sludge formation in boiler systems. To maintain the service life of the cation exchanger, it must be loosened and flushed periodically. A salt dissolving tank is used for this purpose.
