Seed huller

The seed crushing machine SM-450 "Lider" (seed crusher) is designed to crush sunflower seed husks.

Sunflower seeds are fed into the huller through a dispenser located at the top of the unit. Next, the seeds enter the rotor, where they are accelerated by centrifugal force to the required speed and strike the deck (deflecting ring) with their pointed ends. The impacts destroy the seed coat. The entire mass then passes through the bottom opening into the separator, where it separates the sunflower kernels from the husks.

Depending on the seed variety, moisture content, and size, the dispenser can be adjusted to deliver the desired volume of seeds to the huller. If the initial moisture content of the seeds is high, it is recommended to dry them before hulling.
