Steam roaster

The "Leader" steam roaster is designed to heat sunflower seed meal before feeding it into the oil press. The steam roaster consists of vats (the number of which depends on the model), a steam supply system, a steam jacket, a steam exhaust system, a drive, a gearbox, mixing paddles, control instruments, and a control panel.

How a steam roaster works

Sunflower seed meal is fed into the upper vat through a loading spout. The meal is transferred from the upper vat to the lower vat through bypass valves, which maintain a preset level in each vat. Adjusting the valve lever affects the product level in the vats. Roasting of the seeds occurs under the influence of high-temperature steam contained in the roaster's steam jacket. Uniform roasting is ensured by mixing the product with paddles rigidly mounted on a shaft connected to the roaster's drive gearbox.
