Hot- air heating boilers operate using pyrolysis combustion and consist of a smoke exhauster, a heat generator, and a fan. The thermal energy generated during combustion on the heat exchanger walls is transferred to air forced by a fan installed in the piping system. Combustion products produced during pyrolysis are exhausted through the boiler's flue. Several manufacturers in Ukraine produce pyrolysis heat generators.
Unlike hot water boilers, forced-air boilers use atmospheric air heated to a temperature of 40 to 150°C, rather than water, as the heat transfer fluid, depending on the customer's requirements. A blower fan heats the air as it passes through the boiler's heat exchanger, where it is then distributed through a system of air ducts throughout the heated space or into a drying chamber.
