Description

The Easy Fix Mat series is a self-adhesive heating mat based on a thin twin-core cable. The twin-core heating cable is securely woven into a textile mesh impregnated with a special adhesive, which securely attaches the mat to the floor and creates ideal conditions for adhesion to concrete and tile adhesive. Recommended for installation in tile adhesive without screed.

Innovative textile base.

The unique textile base of Electrolux heating mats is made of fabric impregnated with a special adhesive that creates ideal conditions for adhesion to concrete and tile adhesive, preventing air bubbles in the mortar and cracks in the screed, creating a reinforcing effect on the floor surface. Innovative technology allows the heating cable to be woven into the textile base, ensuring a uniform structure of the mats. Unlike a fiberglass mesh base, the textile base does not deform during transportation or long-term storage, and the mat lays perfectly on the floor surface without forming bumps. Furthermore, slight shifts of the mat do not cause its level to rise: it is evenly distributed across the floor.

The core of the Electrolux heating mat is a unique core of aramid threads.

Aramid, also known by the trade name Kevlar(R), is a synthetic fiber with high mechanical and thermal strength. Aramid fibers are non-conductive, have no melting point (breakdown begins only at 500°C), and are characterized by high mechanical strength. This material is five times stronger than steel and is used in the manufacture of bulletproof vests, fire-resistant clothing, and tire reinforcement. The use of aramid yarns significantly increases resistance to tensile loads, tearing, and bending. Thanks to the super-strong aramid core, Electrolux cable products can withstand tensile loads of up to 200N without damage.

The insulation of the heating wires is made of fluoroplastic insulation.

The heating conductor insulation is made of fluoroplastic, one of the most well-known names of which is Teflon(R). Fluoroplastic features a wide range of mechanical properties, good dielectric properties, high electrical strength, and low wear rates. Furthermore, it is resistant to various aggressive environments at room and elevated temperatures, has low gas permeability, is self-extinguishing when ignited, and has high heat resistance (up to 300°C). The use of fluoroplastic insulation ensures the highest safety and reliability characteristics with minimal cable thickness, and also increases resistance to localized overheating.

Electrolux cable products use an additional second layer of insulation on the heating cores. This results in three layers of insulation: individual insulation on the heating cores, additional insulation around the core, and an outer sheath, which reliably protect the heating elements from damage, depressurization, and moisture penetration throughout their entire service life.
The second layer of insulation covers any potential defects (microcracks) in the first layer. Double and reinforced insulation provides improved resistance, withstanding up to 4000 V breakdown voltage. The heating cable's outer sheath is resistant to the chemical composition of concrete and tile adhesive. This ensures a long service life for the heating cables.
