Ion-exchange filter FIPa-I

FIPa-I parallel-flow ion exchange filters are part of the water treatment system for high-capacity boilers. The FIPa filter is one of the filters in the boiler water treatment system, serving to soften and desalinate the incoming water. This filter is installed after the clarification filter. It contains a cation exchange resin layer that absorbs magnesium and calcium ions. This water treatment softens it and helps reduce scale formation in the boiler system's pipes. Proper feedwater treatment ensures long-lasting and stable operation of boilers.

After clarification, feedwater enters the filter through a feeder line. Flowing from top to bottom, the water passes through a purification level. From the FIP filter, water is discharged through the bottom line. For a higher level of water treatment, an ion exchange filter, the FIP-II, is installed after the FIP-I.
