It is used in heating systems, industrial circulation systems, cold water supply systems, and air conditioning systems. Devices of this model provide forced circulation of working fluid in air conditioning, cooling, underfloor heating, hot water supply, and solar thermal systems in both private and multi-family homes. These units feature a wet rotor, ensuring the motor is constantly irrigated with water while simultaneously cooling, reducing noise and friction. Furthermore, Wilo-Star RS pumps are maintenance-free and feature manual three-stage speed control. The motor is resistant to blocking currents.

The Wilo-Star RS also features practical castings on the housing, allowing for quick and secure installation. Furthermore, the terminal box features dual-sided connections, and the terminals themselves are spring-loaded, further simplifying electrical installation.

The Wilo-Star motor has a protection system and is resistant to blocking currents, which ensures uninterrupted operation of the device over a long period of time.

Only the most reliable and durable materials are used in the manufacture of these pump units: gray cast iron (pump body), fiberglass-reinforced synthetic material (impeller), chrome-plated steel (motor shaft), and graphite (bearings). Wilo-Star RS circulation pumps can be used in systems operating with media whose temperature does not drop below -10°C (standard). The highest permissible operating temperature of the coolant can reach +110°C (at an ambient temperature of +40°C).
