Electrolux EWH 80 Formax Water Heater

The Electrolux EWH 80 Formax is an electric storage water heater with an enameled tank in a rectangular design. This water heater features a sophisticated design and advanced water heating technology.


X-Heat Technology

The "X-HEAT" system of "DRY" independent heating elements consists of two independent "dry" heating elements that have no direct contact with the water. The heating elements are housed in special metal housings attached to a flange at the bottom of the tank, which prevents scale buildup on the heating elements. Independent operation of the heating elements allows the water heater to continue operating if one fails. Thus, the "X-Heat" system significantly increases the lifespan of the water heater.

Universal mounting

It is possible to place the water heater either horizontally or vertically.

Ease of control

The control panel features a power knob and a thermostat knob, which can be used to set the desired water heating temperature between 30 and 75°C. When the economy mode (ECO position) is selected on the control panel, the water will be heated to 55°C. This temperature extends the life of the heating element, disinfects the water, and virtually eliminates scale buildup.
The EWH 80 Formax water heater has the ability to control the heating power, which allows it to be installed in rooms with limited electrical power.

Reliability and safety

The EWH 80 Formax model's multi-layered internal tank protection from corrosion is provided by the Protect Tank system, which includes a special high-strength alloy, glass enamel, and a heavy-duty magnesium anode. A safety valve with a drain function ensures reliable operation, protecting the water heater from excess pressure inside the tank. For ease and safety of use, the EWH 80 Formax water heater is equipped with a Residual Current Device (RCD). A special thermostat is installed inside the EWH 80 Formax water heater, which activates when the water in the tank reaches 85°C, protecting the unit from overheating.

Thermal insulation

To effectively insulate the appliances, a 22-mm layer of CFC-free polyurethane foam—an environmentally friendly material filled using a special technology under high pressure—was used. Safe for the environment and human health, it offers excellent thermal insulation properties and minimizes heat loss and high energy costs.
