Basic formula:

Important:

For solid fuel boilers, it is better to take a power reserve of 20-30% , since they do not always operate at maximum (especially at the end of the combustion cycle).

  • ✗ Fragility with sudden temperature changes
  • ✗ Higher price (+30-50%)

Essential elements of a secure system

1. Buffer tank (heat accumulator)

It accumulates excess heat and releases it when the boiler is not being fired. This allows the boiler to be fired once a day instead of twice or three times.

2. Security group

Must include:

  • Manometer (pressure control)
  • Automatic air vent
  • Safety valve (relieves pressure in case of overheating)

3. Emergency heat exchanger

  1. We bought a boiler that was too powerful.
    The boiler operates inefficiently, quickly exhausts its capacity, and produces a lot of condensation and soot.
  2. Forgot about the chimney
    A solid fuel boiler requires a chimney with a diameter of 150-200 mm and a height of at least 5-6 meters.
  3. Installed in a residential area
    The boiler requires a separate boiler room with ventilation. Debris, dust, and the smell of smoke.
  4. No space was provided for fuel
    A dry room is needed to store 4-5 m³ of firewood for the season.
