Fuel

Coal, anthracite, firewood, briquettes, peat, wood waste, briquetted husks, straw, and waste paper can be used as feedstock—fuel is fed manually. Fuels with high moisture content (60% or more) can be used. Efficiency ranges from 86% to 93%, depending on the fuel type.

Application

It is used for central heating of individual homes and residential complexes, administrative, industrial and warehouse premises, especially wood processing plants, livestock complexes, pavilions, greenhouses, schools, shops, and medical institutions.

Boilers have a number of advantages:

  • The durable combustion chamber body made of 6 mm thick steel ensures the equipment will last for 15 years or more;

General characteristics

The Retra-3M boiler is constructed of durable sheet metal with a highly developed heat-receiving surface. It has a three-chamber structure. The first chamber (the firebox) is large, maximizing the combustion period of a single fuel load. Therefore, after ignition, no maintenance is required. The second chamber extracts heat from the combustion products. The grates are equipped with a mechanical agitator. To intensify the combustion process, fans are installed, supplying air through air ducts throughout the firebox. The boiler body is thermally insulated.

RETRA-3M solid fuel boiler control system

The boiler design allows for its operation together with an electronic control panel and blower fans.

The control system is based on an electronic controller, which is designed to ensure a set temperature of the coolant at the outlet of the solid fuel boiler.

The device operates by controlling the combustion process and coolant circulation by adjusting the speed of the fans that pump air into the boiler furnace and supplying power to the circulation pump.

The condition of the fans and pump is determined by the temperature of the coolant at the boiler outlet, which is measured using a digital temperature sensor.

Functional features of the control panel:

  • The device provides audible and visual signaling of emergency and abnormal operating modes;
  • The device's controls allow you to set the required coolant temperature, select the remote control's operating profile depending on the type of fuel (firewood, peat or briquettes, coal, sawdust or wood chips);
  • Possibility of setting various temperature thresholds for switching on and off fans and pumps, smooth regulation of fan speed;
  • By using two air supply control channels, complete combustion of fuel and pyrolysis gases generated during fuel combustion is achieved, which ensures an increased efficiency of the boiler and, as a consequence, leads to a reduction in fuel consumption and a reduction in emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere;
  • The presence of an emergency thermostat, which, when the coolant temperature is exceeded, removes power from the fans (turns them off);
  • Possibility of operation via a serial interface (ModBus protocol) - for remote transmission of information about the current temperature of the coolant, control signals and alarms, for setting the temperature values of the coolant, for starting or stopping the automatic control system, its subsequent registration and visualization (additional option).
