The collector is the central part of the solar water heating system. It is assembled from individual evacuated tubes, the necks of which are hermetically inserted into the manifold and the lower ends of which are secured to the collector frame. Using a selective coating on the evacuated tubes, solar energy is absorbed and converted into heat, heating the water in the tubes. The maximum heating temperature is 90°C. Because hot water is lighter than cold water, hot water naturally circulates to the top of the tube, while cold water circulates to the bottom.
