The RT-08 OM Grafik is an automation kit with a graphic display, a flue gas temperature sensor measuring up to 1200°C, and a stainless steel throttle valve with an electric drive. It is designed to control traditional fireplaces, smoothly adjusting the air supply to the fireplace firebox using the throttle valve. The combustion phases in the fireplace are adjusted based on the firebox temperature, which is measured by a sensor installed as close as possible to the combustion chamber.

The fireplace operates through three main combustion phases: the temperature rise phase, the optimal combustion phase, and the temperature drop phase. Smooth operation of the throttle valve ensures the required air volume is supplied for each combustion phase. This ensures the user receives heat for the maximum amount of time. At the end of the combustion phase, the controller notifies the user that fuel needs to be replenished. If this does not occur, the firebox will be refilled.
